Surprise - It's Broken!

I guess it's just the first of many times as a mother that I will feel totally guilty about not doing something sooner!!! When Hailey fell off the stairs on MONDAY afternoon and cried pretty hard I knew she probably was hurt - but little did I know that on THURSDAY she would be in a cast because she had a broken/fractured wrist! She was just fine on Tuesday and Wednesday - but while we were swimming on Wednesday night I noticed her wrist was swollen and when she was getting dressed she said her arm hurt - and she was kind of holding it funny - but that's about it. Other than that she was carrying on as usual - playing on the computer, clapping her hands, etc. Well - after a really long day at the doctors office - the hospital in X-ray - and at the orthopedic Dr.'s office - she now has a cast!

Hailey with her cousin Kasia

And she was SO GOOD - thank goodness Nana & Papa were with us through it all - they helped entertain her. Hopefully she's getting over her fear of Dr.'s now!!!! The Dr. that put her cast on couldn't believe how strong she was and what she was doing with her hands with that kind of a broken wrist.
The first couple of hours she first had it on she kept saying "I want this thing off" - but we went to a family party and everybody made a big deal about it and I think right now she thinks it's kind of cool! We'll see how the next 2 weeks go......then she'll have to have a smaller cast for 2 more weeks after that! What a way to start the school year off. I guess it could have been worse - it could have been her right arm and she wouldn't be able to write and color!

Meet the Teacher Day at Preschool

Today Hailey went to her new Preschool (At Creekview Elementary) to check out the school and meet her new teachers - Miss Racquel and Miss Gwen. She was so excited to go.

She was a little shy at first and then warmed up and did really good on her "testing"! She even told Miss Raquel that she knew how to go on the potty (which she doesn't yet). I think it's because we've been telling her she can't go to school until she knows how! What a little story teller! She is going to have so much fun next week when it starts. Mom's not sure what she thinks about her baby growing up and going to school. But it's going to be so good for her to play with other kids!

I love you Hailey Kaye!!!

My 20 Year High School Reunion - Class of 88

After planning and working our tails off for about 10 months.....my class reunion weekend finally arrived. All of the hard work was worth it - it turned out awesome! I can't believe after all that I managed to only get 2 pictures! I really hate admitting how old I am - but I guess now you can do the math and figure it out!!!!

This it the group picture that we had taken that night . The Satruday night social was held at the Carbon County Event Center at the Fairgrounds - which was a really nice place. We had our Friday night family picnic at the DinoMine Adventure park.

Here's to the next 10 years! Go Carbon Dinos!!!

Camping at Miller Flat on the 24th

We LOVE going camping - we always go to Miller Flat where we (and Darren's family) have property. We bring the trailers up and then leave them there all summer so we can go up anytime we want! This weekend was our "family reunion" so everyone was up there! Hailey had SO much fun with all of her cousins playing and getting dirty. She loved sleeping in the trailer in her Princess sleeping bag. She won't ride on the 4wheeler this year because she says it's "too loud" (funny girl). Look at this dirty face - I think it says it all!
